Anna is a Production Designer and Art Director based in London and was recently honoured as a BAFTA Brit to Watch.

Anna designed the feature film Theeb (director Naji Abu Nowar) which premièred at Venice International Film Festival 2014 winning a Lion and receives two BAFTA nominations and is currently shortlisted for an Oscar 2016.

Originally from Edinburgh, Anna studied Fine Art and graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Theatre Design. Having successfully designed a variety of national theatre productions, Anna then fell in love with film making. Since then, she has designed various films before joining the NFTS to develop her technical skills and pursue her career in film. Anna graduated in 2010 with an MA in Film Production. Anna directed and designed My Sister Jodie which won the Book Video Awards 2009 and was also a commercial on Nickelodeon. She also was the recipient of the Mark Farley Prize for “Most Promising Production Designer”.

Along with designing Solstice and working in the art department on large scale features such as Harry Brown and Steven Spielberg’s War Horse, she also designed a baroque‐rock contemporary castle for The Black Dinner at Shepperton Studios.

Anna’s début feature film as Production designer In Our Name (Artificial Eye and BBC) premièred at London Film Festival 2010 and won a British Independent Film Award.  Anna designed the feature film Vinyl for LA director Sara Sugarman and also the 1930’s feature film Cheerful Weather for the Wedding (director Donald Rice) starring Elizabeth McGovern, Felicity Jones, Mackenzie Crook and premièred at Tribeca Film Festival 2012.  Anna has directed and produced various commercials, promos and documentaries including promos for the Jacqueline Wilson series Hetty Feather, Sapphire Battersea and Lily Alone.
